Ali Reza Goldouzian (Iran) - Grand Prix BIB 2005
The author of illustrations introduced himself with extremely diverse works at the BIB 2005. Diverse to such an extent that it seems as two artists created them. He presented them as two styles of his production. In his abstract style, he delimits the canvas using colours and lines - which is areal and induces feelings of decorativeness. In his second style, he is more specific and realistic: figures are the dominant feature at the centre of the painting surrounded by tiny objects.
The exposition presents 35 original illustrations.
