Unveiling of Hans Christian Andersen´s Statue in Bratislava
The bronze statue of the world famous story-teller Hans Christian Andersen was unveiled at the Hviezdoslav Square in Bratislava to commemorate his visit to the town in 1841. It happened as a result of initiative of the H.C.Andersen Civic Association and BIBIANA, the international house of art for children, with supprt of the Royal Danish Embassy and the Capital City of Bratislava. Author of the statue is the academic scuptor Tibor Bártfay.
