Most beautiful books of Slovakia 2021 - Award ceremony
The competition is a continuation of the tradition established in 1965, which since its inception has pursued the goal of increasing the artistic level and quality of polygraphic processing of books. The main organizer is BIBIANA, an international house of art for children, the co-organizers are: the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic, the Slovak National Library and the Association of Polygraphy in Slovakia.
Until this year, the competition board accepted applications for 184 books. Seven titles won seven prizes. The Slovak National Library divided its prize between two publications. The jury selected 20 books and 9 student theses as the Most Beautiful Books in Slovakia. The chairman of the jury was Ľuboslav Paľo.
The awards ceremony was held on June 9 at 2 p.m. in the Court of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic. After the ceremony, the exhibition The Most Beautiful Books of Slovakia 2021 was opened in the Dušan Rollo Gallery in BIBIANA.
