Exposition of H. C. Andersen Award Holders 2004
Max Velthuijs from Holland, holder of the award for his illustrations, was born in 1923 in Haag. Only four months after accepting the award in Cape Town, on the 25th of January, he deceased. The Irish writer, Martin Waddell,holder of the H. C. Andersen Award for literature, calls for tolerance and compassion in the middle of violent religious battles.
