UNESCO 2001 Awards for Literature for Children and Youth in Service of Tolerance and Peace
This award is presented biennially and the first ceremony was in 1997. It acknowledges literary works for children which best personalise the ideas and ideals of tolerance and peace, and deepen mutual understanding based on respecting other people and cultures.
